12:03. The fifth stage of the FESA Cup cross-country skiing season came to a close on Sunday with the classic mass-starts held on the slopes of Planica (Slovenia). And it was the cross-country skiers in the senior category who kicked off the hostilities at the end of the morning.
It was a race with a thrilling finish, in which the best riders battled it out for victory in the very last metres. And in this game, it was Italy’s Iris De Martin Pinter who came out on top. The Italian beat French riders Julie Pierrel and Juliette Ducordeau to the line by less than 3 seconds. It was another fine performance from the two Tricolores, who had already finished on top of the box in the individual skateboard event the day before.
As for the other French riders, Léonie Perry made it into the top 10 by crossing the line in eighth place. Heidi Convard was twelfth, Cloé Pagnier fourteenth and France Pignot twentieth.
