Cross-country skiing: Romane Nappey just off the podium in the FESA Cup
Late on Friday morning, Romane Nappey from the Franc-Comtois region shone in the U20 sprint skating finals at the FESA Cup cross-country skiing competition in Planica (Slovenia).
Eighth in the qualifying heat at the start of the day, she negotiated the various laps perfectly to reach the final. However, she failed to make it onto the podium in this final battle , finishing fourth. Austrian Heidi Bucher won, ahead of Sarah Hofmann and Nina Cantieni.

Earlier, Anouchka Neuville and Agathe Margreither were eliminated at the semi-final stage, while Noélie Vittoz, Marie Demor and Lucile Coutaz were eliminated in the quarter-finals.
