Cross-country skiing: victory after the podium for Théo Schely
On Friday, at the opening of the FESA Cup cross-country skiing event in Planica (Slovenia), Cluse’s Théo Schely took second place in the skating sprint. At midday on Saturday, he did even better in the individual 10km classic, winning outright.
In a time of 22 min 14 sec 8, he beat Italy’s Dietmar Noeckler by just over 5 seconds and Switzerland’s Noe Naeff. Further back in the top 10, Vosges’ Mattéo Correia was eighth, followed by Savoyard Victor Cullet Calderini in tenth place.
Forézien Sabin Coupat was twelfth, while Savoyard Ivan Essonnier, fourteenth, Haut-Alpin Julien Arnaud, fifteenth, and Féclazien Gaspard Rousset, seventeenth, all made the top 20. Finally, Milhan Laissus is twenty-ninth, Mathieu Blanc thirty-second and Romain Vaxelaire forty-second.
