Cross-country skiing : the sprinters take to the track in Ruka
After the women’s and men’s individual classics contested on Friday, it is now the sprints in the same style that will be on the programme on the second day of the cross-country skiing World Cup in Ruka (Finland). And it’s the Swiss Desiree Steiner and the Norwegian Sivert Wiig.

In the French clan, three cross-country skiers will be at the start. At 09.03am, Léna Quintin will be the first to start with the number 15 bib, a few seconds after Jonna Sundling, the big favourite of the day. Mélissa Gal will follow in thirty-sixth place, while Maëlle Veyre will close the starting gate for the Bleues at 09.10am in forty-first place.

In the men’s race, the first French athlete to start will be Richard Jouve, wearing bib number 4, at 09:34 am. Behind him, Théo Schely will start with number 13, Renaud Jay with number 23 and Jules Chappaz with number 25, just behind Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo. Bornandin Lucas Chanavat will start on 32, Rémi Bourdin on 46 and Hugo Lapalus will be the last Frenchman to start on 57 from 09:47.
