Cross-country skiing: no round in Iceland for the Scandinavian Cup
Isafjordur (Iceland) was due to host the final round of the Scandinavian cross-country skiing cup from 13 to 15 February. Unfortunately, on Monday, the organisers decided to cancel the three races due to the snow conditions on the volcanic island. The final round will now take place in Åsen, Norway, during a round of the Norwegian Cup.
This change means new dates : the races will take place from 20 to 22 February. However, the events remain the same: a 10km on Friday, a sprint skate and a 20km on Sunday. Those who are not part of the Olympic selections will therefore be competing for places in the World Cups at the end of the season.
For the moment, Karoline Groetting and Haavard Moseby are leading the Scandinavian Cup heading into the final round.
