13:07. A week after failing to qualify for the World Cup in Trondheim (Norway), Julie Myhre is smiling again. On Friday 12 December, she won the free sprint at the Scandinavian Cup in Östersund (Sweden). In an all-Norwegian final, she dominated Nora Elisabeth Falster and Karoline Groetting.
Ebba Andersson ‘s first sprint in ten months ended in the quarter-finals. No Swedish woman got any further, despite 45 competitors. Norway’s Tirl Udnes Weng was just six hundredths behind in the semi-finals.
In the men’s race, Mathias Holbæk , who has not been to the World Cup this season, won the heat. He beat Simen Myhre and Even Solem Michelsen tocomplete a Norwegian quadruple. Their compatriot Jan Thomas Jenssen was also knocked out of the quarter-finals by just two hundredths, in his first sprint since the Tour de Ski.
