Cross-country skiing: Les Bleus make it through the qualifying round
A few minutes after the women qualified for the classic sprint at the U23 cross-country skiing world championships in Schilpario (Italy), it was the men’s turn on Tuesday morning.
Once again, it was Sweden who dominated the proceedings, with Maans Skoglund winning in 2 min 38 sec 36. However, his domination was not unchallenged, with Aleksander Elde Holmboe, Elias Keck, Joergen Schjoelberg, Kristian Kollerud, Ike Melnits, Xavier McKeever, Erik Johansson and Roman Alder all less than 5 seconds behind.

As for the French, Ivan Essonnier, seventeenth at 7.96 seconds, and Victor Cullet Calderini, thirtieth and last qualifier at 10.36 seconds, also booked their tickets for the quarter-finals.
