This Sunday, the Marcia Gran Paradiso took place in Cogne, in the Valle d’Aosta, Italy. This popular 30-kilometre cross-country ski race in classic style is part of the Ski Classics Challengers calendar.

A number of World Cup regulars were also present at the start for the occasion. And the strongest was Canadian Antoine Cyr, who dominated and won ahead of Italian Mikael Abram by a margin of almost 27 seconds. Olivier Léveillé rounded off the top 3. Also taking part in this event, Maurice Manificat finished in the top 10 , in ninth place.
In the women’s competition, Canada’s Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt dominated head and shoulders ahead of Russia’s Daria Rogozina and Italy’s Chiara Caminada.
