10:25. On Sunday morning in Val Venosta (Italy), an 11-kilometre individual classic from Kapron to Melago Alm was on the programme of the Ski Classics, the professional long-distance circuit. In the women’s race, Sweden’s Emilie Fleten of Team Ramudden won.
In a race that was atypical in terms of its positive gradient, she beat former biathlete Stina Nilsson, from Team Ragde Charge, by 11 seconds. The battle for the podium was fierce. Jenny Larsson of Team Lager 157 was third at 12 seconds, while Norway’s Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, winner of the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon the day before, finished just one hundredth off the podium.
