This Sunday, the Jizerska 50 took place in Bedrichov (Czech Republic). Run in bright sunshine, the race was won by Norway’s Anikken Gjerde Alnæs , who proved to be the strongest in a breathless five-headed final sprint.

After almost 2 hours and 10 minutes of effort, she beat Sweden’s Jenny Larsson by just 4 tenths. Hanna Lodin rounded off the podium. The final sprint also featured Norway’s Emilie Fleten and Swedish star Stina Nilsson.
In the men’s race, the scenario was similar, this time with a three-man sprint. Norwegian Ole Joergen Bruvoll won the ski throw after just over an hour and 51 minutes of racing. He beat his compatriots Torleif Syrstad and Johan Hoel.

Team Eksjöhus ‘s Frenchman Jérémy Royer stayed in touch throughout the race, finishing in a fine fourteenth place, just over 54 seconds behind the winner.
