Stina Nilsson has announced her withdrawal from this Sunday’s legendary Marcialonga. The Swedish member of Team Ragde Charge is battling illness: “A tenacious virus is ravaging my body”, she wrote on Instagram.
The 31-year-old cross-country skier decided to take on a new challenge this season, moving into the Ski Classics after four seasons in the biathlon. So far, it’s been a successful gamble for Stina Nilsson, who finished third in Bad Gastein (Austria), fourth in the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon (Italy), second in the individual race at La Venosta (Italy) and fifth last Saturday in La Diagonela (Switzerland).
