Cross-country skiing: a Norwegian victory to end the winter
This Sunday, the day after the Reistadløpet, the Ski Classics, the professional long-distance cross-country skiing circuit, saw the final day of its 2024/2025 season with the Summit 2 Senja. A 60km race between Bardufoss (Norway) and Finnsnes (Norway), it was won in the men’s category by Norway’s Ole Joergen Bruvoll (Team Engcon).
With the yellow overall leader’s bib on his shoulders, he won brilliantly and secured the Ski Classics title, taking over from his compatriot Johan Hoel (Team Ragde Charge), second on the day at 4.4 seconds.

Eirik Sverdrup Augdal (Team Eksjöhus) rounded off the podium, while Johan Tjelle (Team Engcon), Axel Jutterstroem (Team Eksjöhus), Torleif Syrstad (Team Engcon), Morten Eide Pedersen (Team Eksjöhus), Magnus Vesterheim (Team Aker Dæhlie), Thomas Oedegaarden (Team Eksjöhus) and Amund Hoel (Team Engcon) rounded off the top 10.
On the French side, Jérémy Royer (Team Eksjöhus) took thirteenth place and won the best young rider classification symbolised by the pink bib. Simon Vuillet (i3 Ski Team), meanwhile, continued to make progress, coming in twentieth. Further back, Thomas Joly (Team Ramudden) is 36th, Nathan Jouannon (i3 Ski Team) 48th, Antoine Millet (TNE Coste – Fromageries Marcel Petite) 64th, Pierre Belingheri (i3 Ski Team) 65th and Mattis Basille (TNE Coste – Fromageries Marcel Petite) 74th.
