This Saturday morning, Thomas Joly put in a solid performance in the forty-ninth edition of the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon. He was in the leading group for a long time, but the Doubiste from Team Ramudden held on to finish eighth in a race won by Norway’s Kasper Staadas.

Held in cold conditions, this second stage of the Ski Classics season provided another fine spectacle. Behind the winner and member of Team Ragde Charge was Amund Riege, team-mate of Thomas Joly and stronger than Johan Hoel in the final.
The second Frenchman in the running, Jérémy Royer from Team Eksjöhus, finished in thirty-second place, more than two minutes and thirty seconds behind the winner. In the women’s race, a trio quickly emerged.

Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Jenny Larsson and Silje Oeyre Slind battled it out for a three-way final victory. At the end of the suspense, it was Norway’s Anikken Gjerde Alnæs who came out on top ahead of her two breakaway companions.
