Cross-country skiing : 5th and 6th place for Clémence Didierlaurent and Liv Coupat
A few minutes after Margot Tirloy’s victory and Liv Coupat and Léonie Besson’s top 3 finishes in qualifying, the final stages of the classic sprint at the FESA Cup cross-country skiing competition in St. Ulrich am Pillersee (Austria) took place at the end of the morning.

In the senior category, two Frenchwomen made it through to the final round of the day. However, Clémence Didierlaurent and Liv Coupat fell just short of the podium. The two compatriots ended up fifth and sixth in a final won by Germany’s Verena Veit ahead of Italy’s Iris De Martin Pinter and Switzerland’s Lea Fischer.
However, Léonie Besson, Cloé Pagnier, Juliette Ducordeau and Justine Gaillard all reached the semi-finals. Léonie Perry and Mélina Berthet left the competition at the quarter-final stage.
Margot Tirloy still playing the leading roles
Second in the same event on the slopes of Schlinig (Italy) a fortnight ago, Margot Tirloy then followed up with two victories to round off her first weekend of the winter in the Alpine Cup to perfection. A solid performer in the first heat, La Cluse this time settled for fifth place in a race won by the Czech Anna Marie Jaklova.

Behind the Haut-Savoyard, her team-mates Annette Coupat, Anouchka Neuville and Agathe Margreither saw their respective careers come to an end in the semi-finals. Chloé Missillier, the fifth Frenchwoman in the competition, reached the quarter-finals.
