13:54. A revelation at the start of the season with three fine top 10 finishes, including fourth place, in the first three distances of the cross-country skiing World Cup, Austrian Mika Vermeulen will not be appearing this weekend in Davos (Switzerland).
Already withdrawn from last Sunday’s Lillehammer skiathlon (Norway), he has indeed not recovered from illness, announced theAustrian Ski Association in a press release on Wednesday. His compatriot Michael Foettinger, who injured a shoulder in Norway, is also out.
