11:49. The Swedish cross-country skiing championships in Kalix drew to a close on Sunday. On the programme: a 30-kilometre individual skate for the women cross-country skiers, who were keen to shine in their last outing of the winter.
At the end of the demanding Scandinavian course, it was Jonna Sundling who created the surprise by beating her compatriot and great favourite Ebba Andersson. At the finish line, the two Swedes were separated by less than three seconds. Behind them, it was their compatriot Lisa Eriksson who took a fine bronze medal.
