16:50.
Just a few seconds after the women’s sprint team qualification, won by Sweden’s Emma Ribom and Jonna Sundling, the cross-country skiers took to the track for the third stage of the 2024/2025 Cross-Country Skiing World Cup in Davos (Switzerland).
Galvanised by the home crowd, Janik Riebli and Valerio Grond put in an excellent first round on home soil. Victorious ahead of the United States with Gus Schumacher and a still impressive Ben Ogden, and the Norwegians Paal Golberg and Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo, the Swiss will be one of the teams in contention for the podium at the start of the evening.
In the French clan, the two teams lined up by the staff have qualified. Fifth in the combined rankings, Jules Chappaz and Richard Jouve are just ahead of their team-mates Renaud Jay and Rémi Bourdin, who are sixth ahead of the first Finnish team.
