The Finnish cross-country skiing championships in Taivalkoski drew to a close this Sunday morning for the women, with a 30-kilometre individual skate race on the programme. Two days after her victory in the 5-kilometre race, Kerttu Niskanen once again showed no fear.

The big favourite at the start, the Finn crushed the event by crossing the line two minutes ahead of her nearest rival, her compatriot Vilma Ryytty. 30 seconds behind the Finn, who took the silver, was Vilma Nissinen, tanned for the second time this weekend.
