Cross-country skiing: Jules Chappaz on the podium
A few minutes after the women, it was the turn of the cross-country skiers to compete on the urban circuit of the cross-country skiing world cup in Tallinn (Estonia). Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo, the king of cross-country skiing, won once again. However, JulesChappaz, who had an exceptional race, pushed him to the limit.

Le Cluse was impressive today. He finished ninth in the qualifying round and then put in a perfect performance to reach the final. In the final, the Aravis cross-country skier made the most of his chances. He showed great strength and swung into the lead at the top of the last difficulty. He was still in the lead on the last bend, but Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo took the lead on the final straight.

After a long wait, the photo finish confirmed Jules Chappaz’s second place, tied with Harald Oestberg Amundsen. This was Jules Chappaz’s second World Cup podium after a second place in Toblach (Italy) in December 2023 on the Tour de Ski.
In the final, Italy’s Federico Pellegrino took fourth place, followed by Sweden’s Edvin Anger – wearing the green bib – and Norway’s Erik Valnes.
