Cross-country skiing: seven rounds and an early start for the 2024/2025 Marathon Ski Tour
This winter, the Marathon Ski Tour, the national long-distance cross-country skiing circuit, will take place over seven dates. Unlike in recent seasons, it will start before New Year’s Day, with the 42km Belles Combes classic kicking off on 22 December.
Next on the calendar are the Marathon de Bessans (42km FT) on 12 January, the Foulée Blanche (42km FT) on 26 January and La Savoyarde (42km FT) on 2 February. The following week, on 9 February, it’s La Transjurassienne (67km FT) which will be on the programme before the Marathon du Grand Bec (42km FT) scheduled for 23 February. Finally, on 2 March, the Traversée du Massacre (42km FT) will bring the Marathon Ski Tour to a close.

As tradition dictates, an overall classification will be drawn up and a leader’s number will be worn for each race. Haut-Savoyards Gérard Agnellet and Coralie Bentz, recently retired, are the title holders.
