Cross-country skiing : eight stages on the programme
The Marathon Ski Tour, the national long-distance circuit organised by the French Ski Federation, resumes on 21 December in the Haut-Jura. Eight stages are on the calendar this season, six in skate and two in classic.
The event kicks off with the Marathon des Belles Combes (42km FT), held on 21 December in Les Moussières (Jura). This will be followed by the Marathon de Bessans (42km FT) on 11 January, the Foulée Blanche (42km FT) on 25 January, and La Savoyarde (42km FT) on 1 February.

The Transju (50 km CT) will follow on 7 February in Les Rousses (Jura). Cross-country runners will follow this up with the Marathon du Grand Bec (42km FT) on 22 February, before the Marathon des Glières (42km FT) on 15 March. Finally, the Marathon des Saisies (42 km FT), scheduled for 29 March, will bring the season to a close in the Beaufortain region.
This year, French cross-country skiers Juliette Ducordeau and Richard Jouve are the circuit’s ambassadors.
