Cross-country skiing : thirteen events over nine weekends of competition
The 2025/2026 Ski Classics season kicks off on 13 December in Bad Gastein, Austria. This year, the international long-distance cross-country skiing circuit will feature thirteen events spread over 9 weekends in 6 different countries.

The season will kick off in Austria with the Pro Team Tempo, which returns to the Pro Tour calendar after a one-year hiatus. Another new format will be on the programme, as the sixth event, with the sprint in Bedrichov (Czech Republic) on 30 January.

After a break in February for the Winter Olympics, the seventeenth season of the Ski Classics circuit will resume in Sweden with the legendary Vasaloppet on Sunday 1 March 2026. Then it’s the turn of another new format on 7 and 8 March with the Grönklitt 50k ITT, the very first 50-kilometre individual time trial in the history of the Ski Classics Pro Tour.

The cross-country skiers will then head to Norway for the Birkebeinerrennet(14 March), the Marcialonga Bodø (21 March) and the Reistadløpet (28 March). The winter season closes on 29 March with the Summit 2 Senja.
