Cross-country skiing: the world’s best cross-country skiers return to Italy
After Les Rousses (Jura) and theEngadine (Switzerland), the cross-country skiing world cup athletes embark on a third weekend of competition starting this Friday. Initially scheduled to take place in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic), this eighth stage of the circuit is finally being held on the slopes of Cogne, Italy.

The hostilities will begin with a classic team sprint, which will serve as a dress rehearsal before the one scheduled for 5 March at the world championships in Trondheim (Norway). The following day, the best cross-country skiers in the circuit will compete in another classic sprint, this time as individuals .

Finally, the transalpine weekend will close with a 10-kilometre individual skate race. The athletes will then have a week’s break between this Italian leg and the one in Falun (Sweden), scheduled ten days before the Worlds.

Friday 31st January
- 12.20pm: CT men’s and women’s team sprint qualifiers
- 1.20pm: men’s and women’s CT team sprint finals
Saturday 1st February
- 10.30 am: CT sprint qualifiers for men and women
- 13:00: men’s and women’s CT sprint finals
Sunday 2 February
- 10.00am: Men’s individual 10km FT
- 13:00: Women’s individual 10 km FT
