On 29 March 2025, the Nordenskiöldsloppet, the longest cross-country ski race in the world with 220 km of classic racing, will celebrate its eighth edition. To mark the occasion, the organisers have decided to integrate the race into the Ski Classics Challengers circuit.
“After seven editions that went well and were very well received by the skiers, we think it’s only natural that we should now be part of the Ski Classics Challengers,” explains Goeran Hedemalm, Chairman of the Board of Nordenskiöldsloppet, in a press release.
Organised around Jokkmokk (Sweden), in the far north of the Kingdom of Sweden, this event follows a historic cross-country skiing route dating back… to 1884. Each year, the cross-country skiers, both elite and amateur, have 30 hours to finish.
