Cross-country skiing: Justine Gaillard and Charly Rousset lead the French Cup after three stages
Last week, the fourth stage of the 2024/2025 French cross-country skiing cup took place at Le Markstein (Haut-Rhin). The races held in the Vosges allowed the national hierarchy to be altered… with three rounds still to be contested.
In the senior category, Charly Rousset (625), who was second in the rankings before the competitions in the Vosges, takes command of the hierarchy. Ivan Essonnier (531) follows at nearly a hundred points, while Charly Deuffic (507) completes the provisional podium.

On the women’s side, Méaudra’s Justine Gaillard (552), the double winner, is now in the lead… but only 2 points ahead of Mélina Berthet (550). Clément Didierlaurent (539) is also in the match, while Liv Coupat (439), Léonie Besson (436) and Heidi Convard (419) have all been dropped.
In the U20s, Isaïe Taxil (635) is still leading the way, just ahead of Johan Calandry (590). Adrien Marchand (574), Baptiste Betend (559) and Lorin Vergnolle (540) are also in the running. On the women’s side, Romane Nappey (758), with two new wins, remains in first place ahead of Chloé Missillier (652), Louise Marguet (567), Lee Lou Cartier Michaud (548) and Lison Comas De Miranda (536).
Victor Lafrasse and Gaëtane Breniaux still ahead in the U18s
In the U18s, Victor Lafrasse (598) is first in the men’s rankings, with a clear lead over Maxime Paccard (540), Joachim Bunod (509) and Simon Calandry (508). Gaëtane Breniaux (667) dominates the women’s ranking ahead of Lucile Coutaz (595), Pom’ Rives (595) and Emilie Godey (527).

In the Under 16s, Gaby Thomas (715) from the Franc-Comtois region took first place ahead of Raphaël Marrel (658), Alex Laroche (554) and Solal Jonnard (550), from Club Elite Hautes-Alpes. Lison Brouart (710) leads the women’s race ahead of Louna Remillon (660) and Lou Rives (649).
Lastly, SC Grand-Bornand (1,331) topped the club rankings ahead of CS La Féclaz (1,231). Mont Blanc (2,716) leads the committee rankings.
