Cross-country skiing: Liv Coupat and Mattéo Correia lead the French Cup after three stages
Earlier this month, the third leg of the 2024/2025 French Cross-Country Skiing Cup took place in Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie). The races held in the Aravis mountains enabled the national hierarchy to be altered… with four rounds still to be contested.
In the senior category, Mattéo Correia (459), fourth in the rankings before the Bornandine competitions, took command of the hierarchy. Charly Rousset (428), Victor Cullet Calderini (417), Simon Chappaz (415) and Mathieu Blanc (413) follow.

On the women’s side, Forézienne Liv Coupat (439) is now in the lead… but only 3 lengths ahead of the Haut-Alpine i3 Ski Team’s Léonie Besson (436). Heidi Convard (419) completes the podium ahead of Cloé Pagnier (390) and Maya Desseux (373).
In the U20s, Isaïe Taxil (467) leads the way, just ahead of Johan Calandry (461). Adrien Marchand (434), Jules Bobillier-Chaumont (424) and Lorin Vergnolle (409) are also in the running. On the women’s side, Romane Nappey (543), with two wins, takes first place ahead of Alice Bourdin (500) and Chloé Missillier (494).
Victor Lafrasse and Gaëtane Breniaux ahead in the U18s
In the U18s, Victor Lafrasse (426) is first in the men’s rankings, with a clear lead over Gaspard Cottaz (394), Simon Calandry (382) and Paul Rousset Vachon (378). Gaëtane Breniaux (465) dominates the women’s ranking ahead of Lucile Coutaz (415), Anouchka Neuville (408) and Pom’ Rives (397).

In the Under 16s, Gaby Thomas (500) from the Franc-Comtois region took first place ahead of Raphaël Marrel (461) and Solal Jonnard (426) from Club Elite Hautes-Alpes. Lison Brouart (500) led the way in the women’s category, ahead of Lou Rives (481) and Louna Remillon (474).
Finally, CS La Féclaz (996) leads the club rankings, as does Mont Blanc (2,161) in the committee rankings.
