Cross-country skiing: Justine Gaillard and Charly Rousset still top the French Cup after four stages
Last week, the fifth stage of the 2024/2025 French Cross-Country Skiing Cup took place in Méaudre (Isère). The races held in the Vercors gave the national hierarchy a chance to (sometimes) change… with two rounds still to be contested.
In the senior category, Charly Rousset (749), who was already in the lead before the competitions in the Dauphiné, remains in command of the hierarchy. Ivan Essonnier (700) follows on 49 points, while Mattéo Correia (637) completes the provisional podium.

On the women’s side, Méaudra’s Justine Gaillard (737), who was solid throughout the weekend at home, is still in the lead… but only 4 points ahead of Mélina Berthet (733). Clémence Didierlaurent (630) is also in the match, while Heidi Convard (575) and Léonie Besson (560) have been dropped.

In the U20s, Isaïe Taxil (845) is still leading the way, just ahead of Johan Calandry (758). Lorin Vergnolle (697) and Adrien Marchand (693) are also in the running.

On the women’s side, Romane Nappey (940) remained in first place ahead of Chloé Missillier (777), Louise Marguet (717) and Marguerite Couval (702).
Joachim Bunod and Emilie Godey take the U18 lead
In the U18s, Joachim Bunod (706) took advantage of the absence of Victor Lafrasse (598), who was at the EYOWF last week, to take the lead. Maxime Paccard (680) and Mallory Moreau (617) follow.

In the women’s rankings, the EYOWF also changed the hierarchy, with Emilie Godey (722) taking first place ahead of Gaëtane Breniaux (667), Coline Schmitt (637) and Guillemette Baisle (624).

In the Under 16s, Gaby Thomas (915) from the Franc-Comtois region was first , ahead of Raphaël Marrel (838) and Alex Laroche (729).

Lison Brouart (915) leads the way in the women’s category, ahead of Lou Rives (786) and Louna Remillon (782).
Finally, SC Grand-Bornand (1,662) retained the lead in the club rankings, ahead of CS La Féclaz (1,508). Mont Blanc (3,442) leads the committee rankings.
