Cross-country skiing: fifteen Swedes in Group A this summer
At midday on Monday, theSwedish Ski Association unveiled the composition of its national cross-country ski team for the 2025/2026 training season.
In the women’s A team, Stefan Thomson is joined by Ida Ingemarsdotter and Johan Granath on the coachng. The squad remains the same as a year ago, with the country’s top female cross-country skiers: Ebba Andersson, Maja Dahlqvist, Moa Ilar, Johanna Hagstroem, Emma Ribom, Frida Karlsson, Jonna Sundling and Linn Svahn.
There are some changes on the men’s side, however, as Calle Halfvarsson, Alvar Myhlback and Johan Haeggstroem have decided to train outside the national squad. Marcus Grate and Gustaf Berglund have joined the squad alongside Jens Burman, Emil Danielsson, Edvin Anger, William Poromaa and Oskar Svensson.
Note that Truls Gisselman, world medallist in the relay a few months ago in Trondheim (Norway), has not been promoted and remains in group B, alongsideAnton Grahn and Maans Skoglund. Evelina Crüsell, Maerta Rosenberg, Elin Henriksson and Moa Lundgren make up the women’s B squad.
