Cross-country skiing: Norway at Ruka with its legends
The long-awaited list was published early this afternoon by theNorwegian Ski Association. The list includes Therese Johaug, who has been selected for the cross-country skiing World Cup in Ruka (Finland) after making her return to competition last weekend in Beitostølen (Norway).
A year and a half after his last race on the world circuit, the Norwegian legend will be putting on his race number again in Ruka in a few days’ time. An important step just a few months away from the World Championships in Trondheim (Norway), the objective of his return to competition.
Anne Kjersti Kalvaa, who has been out of form in recent races, will not be taking part, nor will Kristine Stavaas Skistad, who is still recovering from her stomach operation, Mathilde Myhrvold, Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg and Helene Marie Fossesholm.
On the men’s side, Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo will be the logical leader of the group, whileEmil Iversen, winner of the last Scandinavian Cup, will be taking part thanks to this. Finally, Andreas Fjorden Ree, sensation of the Beitostølen competitions, will take part in both distances.
