Cross-country skiing: a predominantly French summer for Les Bleus
With the athletes gradually returning to training on their own at the start of May, Alexandre Rousselet, head of the French cross-country skiing team’s World Cup squad, has given Nordic Magazine the full preparation programme for his team.
As announced in our columns, the first real training camp for Les Bleus this summer will be in Tignes (Savoie) in June. The men, coached by Thibaut Chêne and Vincent Meilleur, will be there from 8 to 29 June, while the women, coached by Vincent Vittoz and Vincent Meilleur, will be there from 9 to 21 June.

After that, the schedules will be different. The ten cross-country skiers selected for the French national team will have a series of meetings in Prémanon (14-20 July), Norway (5-25 August), where they will take part in the Blink Festival and the Toppidrettsveka, Font-Romeu (17 September-3 October) and Prémanon (16-21 October) before hitting the snow at the Bessans snowfarm (2-12 November).
No foreign leg for Les Bleues
The fourteen French competitors will gather in Prémanon (7-11 July), La Féclaz (28 July-3 August), Prémanon (20-31 August), Font-Romeu (8-21 September) and a third and final time in Prémanon (13-21 October) before skiing in Bessans (1-11 November then 17-22 November).

It’s worth noting that the French team will not be training this summer on the Val di Fiemme slopes (Italy), the venue for the future Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. The French team are regulars at the venue, but will be there during the Tour du Ski preceding the quadrennial competition.
