Cross-country skiing : Harald Oestberg Amundsen dominates in Toblach
The third day of the Tour de Ski kicked off in dream conditions on Tuesday with the cross-country skiing world cup in Toblach (Italy). Harald Oestberg Amundsen was the overwhelming winner at the end of the day’s 20 kilometres.

Winner of last year’s tour, the Norwegian gave a veritable recital of himself in today’s race. Always on the pace and increasing his lead with every metre, the outgoing world number one didn’t hesitate to raise his arms and take a serious option ahead of the classic 15-kilometre pursuit scheduled for Wednesday.

By winning by a margin of more than 21 seconds over Simen Hegstad Krueger, who took his twenty-fifth career podium, the 26-year-old cross-country skier will have a comfortable lead going into New Year’s Day. This is his third victory of the season.
Behind the two Scandinavians, Andrew Musgrave regained a place in the top three, one year after the skiathlon he won on 16 December 2023 in Trondheim (Norway). Andreas Fjorden Ree, Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo and Jan Thomas Jenssen rounded out the top 10.
Hugo Lapalus and Mathis Desloges in the top 10
Behind the red armada, Hugo Lapalus was seventh today. The Frenchman, who was in contact during the classic mass-start on Sunday, continues to play the position of eighth overall after three stages.

Less than three seconds behind him, Mathis Desloges also put in a very good performance. In the thick of things, the Dauphinois managed his effort perfectly to claim a career-best eighth place. Just a few weeks after breaking into the top 10 in the World Cup, the young rider from the Isère region is continuing to make his mark among the best.

Having struggled in the classic mass-start, Jules Lapierre was back in form in his favourite discipline. Sixteenth on the line, the Chartrous native was ahead of his compatriot Rémi Bourdin, who was a solid twentieth.
Second overall in the Tour de Ski this morning, Richard Jouve was forty-first. Théo Schely was forty-sixth and Lucas Chanavat seventy-fourth.
