Cross-country skiing : individual 20-kilometre skate races on the programme after a rest day
On Monday 30 December, the cross-country skiing world cup caravan was at rest after the first two stages of the Tour de Ski. Now, on New Year’s Eve, the world’s best cross-country skiers are back in business for the 20-kilometre individual skate race in Toblach (Italy).

The men will be the first to start, with Germany’s Albert Kuchler at 11.30am. For the French, Rémi Bourdin will be the first to start with bib number 16 at 11.38am. Behind him will be Mathis Desloges in number 20, Théo Schely in number 23, Jules Lapierre in number 34 and Hugo Lapalus in number 35. Richard Jouve, currently second in the overall rankings, will wear number 46, while Lucas Chanavat will have number 83.

In the women’s race, where Anja Mandeljc will open the ball at 2.45pm, Mélissa Gal will be the first Frenchwoman in the running with bib number 6. Léna Quintin will take 38, Léonie Perry 48 and Julie Pierrel 58.
