Cross-country skiing: “When you win, you win as a team”, says Jessie Diggins
On Saturday, American Jessie Diggins looked in great form on the Granåsen piste at the World Cup skiathlon in Trondheim (Norway). With superb grip in the bumps and good glide, the 34-year-old cross-country skier claimed her thirtieth World Cup success.

“ I was really motivated to have a great race, especially for the waxing technicians. I had an excellent push in the classic and I knew that my skating skis were performing well”, the American declared in a communication from the American cross-country skiing federation.
Before adding: “When you win, you win as a team. It was really great to have all the elements in place, technical and tactical, right up to my final sprint. I’m extremely proud of the whole team today.

On a track where she had never finished better than fourth in an individual race and in a format that she had never won, Jessie Diggins continued to fill in the gaps in her immense list of achievements as she entered her final season.
It was great to come here and race to the best of my ability,” added Jessie Diggins. As this is my last year here, it’s always nice to leave a place with good memories.”
