Cross-country skiing: the big day has arrived in Trondheim
It’s D-Day. The first medals of the world cross-country skiing championships in Trondheim (Norway) will be awarded this Thursday afternoon. The international event kicks off at 10am with the men’s and women’s sprint skateboard qualifications.

In the women’s race, Canada’s Liliane Gagnon will open the ball just ahead of Jessie Diggins, who could well have a great chance in her preferred style. Two Frenchwomen will be at the start of this first race: Mélissa Gal, who will be wearing bib number 7, and Léna Quintin, who has inherited bib number 26.

On the men’s side, the top start will be given at 10:52 with Germany’s Marius Kastner. This will be followed by four Frenchmen: Rémi Bourdin with number 3, outgoing medallist Jules Chappaz with number 19, Lucas Chanavat with number 20 and finally Richard Jouve with number 24.
