Cross-country skiing: Les Bleus still looking for their first medal in Trondheim
The team competitions continue this Thursday at the World Cross-Country Skiing Championships in Trondheim (Norway). After the classic sprint team won by Norway, it’s now time for the eagerly awaited men’s relay. An event that has historically favoured the French in recent seasons.

While the Norwegians will be the favourites given their current form, the battle for medals promises to be a close one. Having failed to win a medal in Planica (Slovenia) in 2023, Les Bleus will be hoping to open their account at the 2025 event.

In an attempt to reach the podium, the French staff had to make choices from among a large contingent. In the end, Rémi Bourdin, Hugo Lapalus, Jules Lapierre and Mathis Desloges were chosen to defend their country’s colours this Thursday lunchtime.

Fourth in Slovenia two seasons ago, the French cross-country skiers will be aiming to return to the top 3 this time round, as they did in 2015 in Falun (Sweden), in 2019 in Seefeld (Austria) and in 2021 in Oberstdorf (Germany).
Facing Les Bleus will be Norway withErik Valnes, Martin Loewstroem Nyenget, Harald Oestberg Amundsen and Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo. Sweden will be represented by Truls Gisselman, William Poromaa, Jens Burman and Edvin Anger, Finland by Ville Ahonen, Ristomatti Hakola, Remi Lindholm and Lauri Vuorinen, and Germany by Florian Notz, Albert Kuchler, Friedrich Moch and Janosch Brugger.
