Cross-country skiing: distance skiers take to the track in Trondheim
Two days after the sprinters made their debut, with France’s Jules Chappaz coming within a whisker of a bronze medal in the sprint skate, the distance specialists took their turn in the spotlight this Saturday in the men’s skiathlon at the World Cross-Country Skiing Championships in Trondheim (Norway).

A total of 102 cross-country skiers will set off at 2pm for this 20-kilometre event, 10 kilometres of which will be run in the classic style before switching to skateboarding for the last ten kilometres. World champion less than forty-eight hours earlier,Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo will be wearing bib number 1 in this competition, in which he is sure to stand out in front of his home crowd.

On the French side, Hugo Lapalus will wear number 3. At the start, Le Cluse will line up alongside Mathis Desloges with number 7, Jules Lapierre with number 17 and Clément Parisse with number 37.
