Cross-country skiing: no French women at the start of the World Cup relay
The day after Norway’s imperial victory in the men’s relay, it is the women cross-country skiers’ turn to take to the track in this final team event of the World Cross-Country Skiing Championships in Trondheim (Norway). Crowned champions in 2023 in Planica (Slovenia), the Norwegians will have to work hard to repeat their feat at 1.15pm.

Heidi Weng, Astrid Oeyre Slind, Therese Johaug and Kristin Austgulen Fosnæs will have their work cut out against their biggest rivals, Sweden’s Emma Ribom, Frida Karlsson, Ebba Andersson and Jonna Sundling. Germany’s Pia Fink, Katharina Hennig, Helen Hoffmann and Victoria Carl could also have something to play for.

No doubt Finland’s Johanna Matintalo, Kerttu Niskanen, Krista Pärmäkoski and Jasmi Joensuu will also be looking to make their mark in the medal race, as will the Americans Rosie Brennan, Julia Kern, Sophia Laukli and Jessie Diggins. The French team will not be lining up for this event.
Start list – 1.15pm
