Cross-country skiing: a double for the Kaasiku twins
This Thursday, the women’s classic mass-start concluded the cross-country skiing events at the Turin 2025 World University Games. It was Estonia’s Keidy Kaasiku who took gold, in a time of 1 hour 3 minutes and 49 seconds.
In the Pragelato stadium (Italy), she beat her twin sister Kaidy Kaasiku by 17 seconds and 8 tenths. Poland’s Izabela Marcisz, winner of the individual skate and classic sprint, completed the podium, 58 seconds behind the Estonian.

On the French side, Julie Marciniak finished just outside the top ten, in eleventh place, more than four minutes behind the winner. France Pignot was fourteenth, while Félicie Chappaz and Manon Favre Bonvin did not start.
