Cross-country skiing : Markus Kasanen the strongest
The final day of cross-country skiing events at the Turin 2025 World University Games began with the men’s mass-start classic on Thursday. In the Pragelato stadium (Italy), Finland’s Markus Kasanen won in 56 minutes and 8 seconds. He beat Japan’s Daito Yamazaki by 9 seconds and his compatriot Nico Bennert by 12 seconds and 7 tenths.

In the French camp, Ugo Zanellato took eighteenth place, more than 3 minutes behind the winner. Félix Caillot finished in twenty-second place, whileAntoine Lanne and Hugo Serot did not finish the day’s race.
