It was in glorious sunshine that the men’s cross-country skiing world cup took their turn in the classic sprint qualifier in Val di Fiemme (Italy), the fifth stage of the 2024/2025Tour de Ski .

At the top of the leaderboard, Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo did not waver as expected. A solid winner with a margin of less than a second over his compatriot Erik Valnes, the Norwegian will continue to extend his lead in the overall classification of the tour. Finland’s Niilo Moilanen took third place.

In the French clan, only Richard Jouve managed to secure his ticket for the next round. Twenty-first, the Haut-Alpin did better than his compatriots Hugo Lapalus, forty-second, Rémi Bourdin, forty-third, and Mathis Desloges, forty-seventh. It should also be noted that Jules Lapierre and Théo Schely, both ill, did not take part in the start.
