Following the withdrawals of Léonie Perry, Jules Lapierre and Théo Schely announced shortly before the qualifying round of the classic sprint of the cross-country skiing world cup in Val di Fiemme (Italy), another French name will not be at the start of the final stages of this fifth event of the Tour de Ski.

Twenty-first just a few minutes earlier, Richard Jouve and the French team staff decided not to take to the starting gate on Friday afternoon. The Haut-Alpin suffered a back injury and was therefore unable to fully defend his chances in the quarter-finals.
