18:13. At 10am on Friday, the snowfarming track at Vuokatti (Finland) opened its doors. As always, this is the first loop, currently around 1.5 km long, to be used for cross-country skiing in Europe this year.
It should be noted that an extension to the piste should be open from Wednesday, when 9 to 10 km will be accessible at full speed. This is possible because over 70,000 cubic metres of snow have been stored all summer.

Last but not least, the Italian women’s biathlon team is due to take part in a training camp here from 21 to 31 October, and a Finnish cross-country skiing cup is scheduled for 1 and 2 November.
