Last Wednesday, less than 24 hours before the start of the world cross-country skiing championships in Trondheim (Norway), Erik Valnes left the Norwegiantraining session prematurely after suffering back pains.
A few hours later, we learned that the Scandinavian would not be able to defend his chances in the inaugural skate sprint. A few days after this incident, the 28-year-old cross-country skier seems to be feeling better and should be able to line up at the start of the individual classic scheduled for Tuesday.
