This weekend, alongside the opening Norwegian cross-country skiing races in Beitostølen (Norway), nordic combined competitions were held in the county resort of Innlandet. While the ski jumping rounds took place a few weeks ago on synthetic material in Lillehammer (Norway), it was the cross-country skiing part that was organised.
On Saturday, Ida Marie Hagen (ahead of Gyda Westvold Hansen and Marte Leinan Lund) and Joergen Graabak (second overall behind Estonia’s Kristjan Ilves and ahead of his compatriots Andreas Skoglund and Espen Andersen) won gold medals in the individual compact event that was the Norwegian championships in this discipline.
Then, on Sunday on a gundersen, success was won by Ida Marie Hagen, once again better than Gyda Westvold Hansen and Marte Leinan Lund, and Sebastian Oestvold, gold medallist ahead of Espen Bjoernstad and Joergen Graabak. He also secured his ticket for the World Cup in Ruka (Finland).
