Nordic Combined : the Skoglund brothers win a continental cup double
Andreas Skoglund gave his rivals no hope in the 7.5 kilometre pursuit of the individual compact on Friday afternoon at the Nordic Combined Continental Cup. Starting just six seconds behind Laurent Muhlethaler, the Norwegian quickly broke away from his rivals to win by 28 seconds from his brother Aleksander.

Trailing by one minute and 15 seconds at the start, he made the biggest comeback of the day to claim a place on the podium. Germany’s Jakob Lange rounded off the top 3.

On the French side, Gaël Blondeau moved up three places to sixth place after a fine performance. Laurent Muhlethaler, who won the jumping competition earlier in the morning, lost ground on the planks as he crossed the line in eighth place. Mattéo Baud was twelfth, Edgar Vallet sixteenth and Marco Heinis twentieth.
