Late on Friday morning in Klingenthal (Austria), it was Laurent Muhlethaler from the Jura who came out on top, winning the individual compact jump competition in the Nordic Combined Continental Cup.
On the German HS140 springboard, he jumped 130.5 metres to take first place in the rankings. He was joined on the podium by Norway’s Andreas Skoglund (131.5 metres) and Austria’s Florian Kolb (131 metres).

As for the other Frenchmen, Gaël Blondeau and Mattéo Baud were ninth and tenth respectively, and will start 36 and 38 seconds behind in the 7.5km cross-country ski pursuit. Marco Heinis and Edgar Vallet were nineteenth and twenty-fourth.
