This Sunday morning, the Norwegian Ski Association announced in a press release that Ivar Stuan’s contract had been extended. Despite being 66 years old, the Norwegian Combined Sports Director will remain in his post until the end of the 2026/2027 season… with three more options. This means he could keep his position until 2030, the year of the Olympic Games in the French Alps.
A new cycle will be launched without Jarl Magnus Riiber, who has just retired. “I don’t feel like a 66-year-old, I’m even more motivated than ever, he explains in the federal communication. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not ready to retire. Every day, I get up and think about how we can develop and improve Norwegian Nordic combined, particularly on a commercial level. I believe there is untapped potential in our sport.”
