Nordic Combined: no competition before the World Cup for Jarl Magnus Riiber
Last weekend, the ski jumping part of the Nordic combined competitions in Beitostølen (Norway) – scheduled for the penultimate weekend in November with the national individual compact title at stake – took place on the Granåsen ski jump in Trondheim (Norway).
But they took place without superstar Jarl Magnus Riiber. After his ultra-dominant 2023/2024 winter on the World Cup circuit, he was forced to withdraw due to dental pain. “He had a lot of problems with a wisdom tooth, confirms his coach Ivar Stuan to the NTB, as reported by TV2. It was removed a few weeks ago, but it was painful and embarrassing for him afterwards.”
A victim of inflammation, Jarl Magnus Riiber is now aiming to return with his bib on for the start of the World Cup in Ruka (Finland) on 28 November. “We’ll do everything we can to make sure he’s ready,” promises his coach.
