Thursday saw the reserve jump at the Nordic Combined World Cup in Lahti (Finland), the final stage of the season. On the Finnish HS130 springboard, it was Germany’s Julian Schmid (126 metres) who came out on top. He beat Austria’s Johannes Lamparter (123 metres) and Japan’s Ryota Yamamoto (124.5 metres).

In the French camp, Marco Heinis (123 metres) put in a magnificent performance to take fourth place. Laurent Muhlethaler (110 metres) was thirty-sixth, Gaël Blondeau (101 metres) forty-second and Maël Tyrode (102.5 metres) – in his first World Cup event of the season – forty-third.
Edgar Vallet (95 metres) was forty-seventh and Tom Rochat (96 metres) fiftieth.
