21:18. This Saturday, the Finnish summer Nordic combined championships took place in Lahti (Finland). Although the special jump competitions had to be cancelled because of the wind, the combined events went ahead and Minja Korhonen won the women’s title.
The big favourite of the day, she confirmed her status by winning the jumping competition before extending her lead in the wheel-ski pursuit. Heta Hirvonen is silver and Annamaija Oinas bronze.
In the men’s race, there was a surprise as Otto Niittykoski won gold ahead of Ilkka Herola (+21 sec 0) and Eero Hirvonen (+22 sec 0).
